Vernal Pools Bingo: March 11 – April 28, 2024
Spring is around the corner! Did you know that Lincoln is home to dozens of vernal pools?
Vernal pools are special wetlands that provide the seasonal habitat for amphibians and invertebrate animals. These pools give frogs and salamanders a unique spot to spawn.
The Lincoln Public Library, Lincoln Conservation Dept., and the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust are celebrating spring with a Vernal Pools Bingo Sheet. From March 11 through April 28, you can pick up a Vernal Pool Bingo sheet at the Library to compete for a Mass State Parks Pass (DCR) as a prize.
How to Participate
- Pick up a Vernal Pool Bingo sheet from the Library.
- Mark all the tasks that you complete on the bingo sheet.
- Enter to win a prize if you complete two rows of tasks!
- Rows on the bingo sheet can be diagonal, horizontal, or vertical.
- Hand in your Bingo sheet with your name and contact information by April 28th.
Contestants
Contestants must be 18-years-old or under to participate.
Prize
The Vernal Pool Bingo Sheet winner will be drawn at random if the contestant has complete two rows of tasks. The prize drawing will be held on April 29. The winner will be promptly contacted to claim their prize of a Mass State Parks Pass (DCR).
