New Lincoln250 Display!
The Lincoln Library is continuing our celebration of Lincoln250 with a new display in our lobby. This month, we are focusing on the experience of enslaved people during the American Revolution. Currently in our display case is a document from the Nelson Family Papers that mentions a young boy named Peter, who was an enslaved person in Lincoln. Peter would eventually go on to fight in the Continental Army in Saratoga.
