Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn the language of your grandparents, brush up on a language you learned long ago, or pick up enough phrases to make your way on your international travels…
Whatever your reason, the Lincoln Public Library provides excellent tools for learning:
Mango Languages offers lessons on over 70 languages, with an informal approach and emphasis on practical conversational fluency. Transparent Language provides thorough and systematic instruction on over 100 languages, with more of an emphasis on grammar, vocabulary and long-term retention.
Both online programs have modules for children, Transparent offers some indigenous languages and Mango has a course in American Sign Language.

The Library Art Gallery is exhibiting paintings from Bryn Gingrich from October 26 through November 30. The artist reception will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2:30-4:30 PM in the Gallery.
“Lincoln From Above” is a collection of aerial photographs and watercolor paintings celebrating Lincoln’s conservation land from a rarely seen perspective. In both sharp photographic detail and soft watercolor brush strokes, viewers can delight in seeing Lincoln’s expansive fields, ponds and rivers, and winding roads.
Bryn Gingrich is a hobbyist watercolor artist and licensed drone operator based in Lincoln, MA. For the past three years she has been photographing aerial landscapes in Lincoln as part of her work for Lincoln Land Conservation Trust. Awed by the view from above, she was inspired to reinterpret many of her favorite aerial photographs as watercolor paintings.
