Banned Book Week Discussion with Ray Shepard
What does it mean to ban a book? Celebrated local author Ray Shepard will lead a discussion for middle schoolers and their caregivers about Stamped by Jason Reynolds and Ibram x. Kendi and the impact of book bans on Wednesday, September 27th at 6pm. Ray has received multiple starred reviews for his latest work of creative non-fiction, A Long Time Coming: A Lyrical Biography of Race in America from Ona Judge to Barack Obama.
