summerteenSummer Reading Challenge starts on June 19th!
The Reading Challenge is open to anyone entering grade 8 through grade 12. Teens who complete the challenge will win a small prize and be eligible to enter our raffle to win an Amazon Kindle Fire. Forms must be completed and returned to the library by August 31st to be eligible for entry into the raffle. Click form image to download.

  • Are you in 7th and 8th grade and wondering what to read next? Join the library's Book Share Group! Discover new books based on other kids’ recommendations and to share what you’ve been reading. Snacks provided. No registration necessary.

Hoopla offers ebooks, audiobooks, digital movies, music, and more. Visit hoopla's webpage for more info to get started. 

There is also a Kids Mode that offers kid-friendly content. When Kids Mode is active, your Hoopla app will only show content that’s appropriate for children. You can feel confident letting your kids explore and discover on their own, then turn Kids Mode off again when you’re ready to browse for yourself. To try it, go to the Settings menu of the Hoopla app on your mobile device. RB Digital Magazines

Browse - Checkout - and Read magazines in your browser - and download to mobile apps. Once you checkout a magazine you may keep it as long as you wish. Children's magazine titles include National Geographic KidsHighlights, and more! Seventeen is also offered for teen readers. Get started by clicking "Create New Account" on top right corner of RBdigital gateway.

Borrow a Kindle

The Library loans Kindles! We have 3 childrens' Kindles that come preloaded with over 200 children and young adult titles organized into categories. You must be a Lincoln resident over 18 years old to borrow a Kindle and have a signed Kindle borrowing agreement on file. A parent can sign for you if you are under 18. Browse preloaded titles here.
